Last Year....

Went out to the prairies again as I have been doing the last few years.  Here are a few pics from that trip.

Came across a quilting show in the city park in Moose Jaw - was a bit surreal actually.....all the quilts were strung between the trees ....

This was taken after an adventure with tics - now that's another story - but I played abit with  the colours as you can tell.  Beautiful Canola field

And my love of graveyards, for any of those who are following me - there are so many out on the prairies - this huge cross was in the middle of one little graveyard in the middle of nowhere.

Again - this was taken at a different graveyard - the sun shining through the barren tree.

Whats in your backyard?

Just sitting on the back patio last nite - and all this (and more) is what I can see.
Do hope to get a better one of the Bald Eagle this year !!!

Well a recent trip to Beacon Hill Park in Victoria, BC we came across this guy wandering around.  Had the most beautiful plumage.

 

Was hoping he would show us the whole array, but alas....I just chased him around trying to get a good photo !!

Don't Bug Me !!

Have a couple of good shots of some smaller creatures .......First one was climbing on my Clematis flower.  I am sure he/she was making a good dinner of it before I came along.

This one I caught testing the necter on one of my marigold flowers.

And this I came across while I was on a visit in Moose Jaw, SK.   

All in all I thought they were pretty cool !!!!

These guys were all over the place at our hotel complex in Puerto Vallarta.  Sometimes you would see about 8 of them up in one tree !!!  One of them was HUGE !!!  and wow can they swim !!!
